Song Seung Hun brings in 3000+ female fans for Japanese ‘My Princess’ event

Actor Song Seung Hun has reaffirmed his popularity amongst female fans once again!

According to Storm S Company, Song Seung Hun attended FujiTV’s ‘United States of ODAIBA 2011‘ event on August 30th for his hit drama, ‘My Princess‘.

At the event, Song Seung Hun picked “Can’t you live as my woman?” as the line that left the deepest impression on him, which melted the hearts of the 3,000 or so female fans who were there to support him.

Previously, Song Seung Hun promoted ‘My Princess’ by appearing on FujiTV’s live broadcast program alongside SMAP member, Katori Shingo.

Meanwhile, Song Seung Hun will also attend the ‘My Princess Special Concert‘ that will be held in Japan this coming December.

Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” MV is 5th on YouTube Global chart

Super Junior’s music video for “Mr. Simple” placed 5th on the YouTube global chart.

Super Junior released the music video for “Mr. Simple” on August 4th and tallying views from July 27th to August 26th, the video placed 5th overall with a view tally of 9,409,999 views. With this accomplishment, Super Junior were on the top 10 list with some very famous company including artists such as Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Jay Z, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift and others.

Although this proves their popularity abroad, they also did well at home as the video received top honors for ‘Most Viewed’, ‘Most Commented’, and ‘Most Favorited’ on YouTube Korea as well.

Additionally, Super Junior released the music video for “SUPERMAN“ on the 26th and the video has also received a lot of love.

Which stars re-established their popularity through variety shows?

Variety shows have become a prime gateway for celebrities to better gain exposure. Depending on their talents, determination, and appeal to the audience, stars can feel a spike in their popularity if they’re well-received by the viewers.

Noting this trend, an online community portal site called ‘DC Inside‘ polled netizens from August 16th to the 23rd, asking, “Which star re-established their popularity the most through variety shows?”.

First place went to Leessang’s Gary with 1,095 votes (22.2%).

Gary made a complete transformation during his variety show appearances by showcasing wit and hilarity, an image that differs greatly from his cool charisma on stage. He is considered to be a big part for raising the popularity of SBS ‘Running Man’ and is even requested by fans to become a permanent member for MBC ‘Infinity Challenge’ after his appearance for the rowing event.

Shortly after Gary is singer Jung Jae Hyung with 822 votes(16.6%).

Thought of as a high class person, due to his major in composing classics and studies abroad in France, Jung Jae Hyung grabbed the attention and love from fans when he appeared on MBC ‘Come Over to Play’. After that, he appeared on ‘Infinity Challenge’ and showed off not only his music skills but also a new humorous side. He is now thought to be one of the best characters in the 2011 variety world.

3rd place went to f(x)’s Sulli with 591 votes(12%).

Thought of the cute and shy girl, Sulli changed her image when she appeared on SBS ‘Running Man’. Not scared of ruining her image, Sulli worked hard to do her best in all the missions that were given to her.

Others who were also listed on the poll included Boohwal’s Kim Tae Won, actress Song Ji Hyo, singer Park Jung Hyun, and many others.

Kyuhyun, G.O., & Jay Park also confirm that they’ll be leaving ‘Immortal Song 2′

KBS’s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ will be going through drastic cast changes once again!

Earlier, we revealed that SISTAR’s Hyorin would be leaving the show due to a hectic personal schedule. Unfortunately, it looks like she’ll be joined in her exit by Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, MBLAQ’s G.O, and Jay Park. The idols will leave the show after their final recording on August 29th.

The idols enjoyed a boost in their popularity thanks to their strong performances on stage. Hyorin placed first several times on the show and has earned the nickname, “Korea’s Beyonce“, due to her outstanding talent. Her fame brought in an explosive amount of attention for SISTAR’s new album.

Similarly, G.O also showed off his talent as MBLAQ’s lead vocalist, and he even received the praise, “G.O’s Re-discovery“, through the program.

Meanwhile, Jay Park will be departing for the States to prepare for his new album.

As for Kyuhyun, his busy activities with Super Junior have made it impossible to stay on the show. These idol singers are working hard to produce new albums, participate in variety shows, prepare for overseas advancements, and/or meet their promotional schedules, so it’s no wonder they’ve decided that they could no longer fit ‘Immortal Song 2′ into their planners.

Huh Gak will remain on the show, and ‘Immortal Song 2′ plans to recruit new members to their line-up. The production team is currently preparing specials to add an exciting twist to the program.

As for replacements, Go Min Goo PD had previously hinted that f(x)’s Luna would be joining the cast. Go Min Goo PD had stated, “Kyuhyun was added first, and Luna will join ‘Immortal Song 2′ around late August. As power female vocalists, Luna and Hyorin’s match will be quite a sight.”

Unfortunately, it seems that with Hyorin’s early departure, the match between Luna and Hyorin will not be possible. Still, it’s feasible that Luna will join the program regardless, and may even take Hyorin’s spot as the next female songstress on the program. 4minute’s Jiyoon continued participation is unclear as there was no mention of her name.

Jang Woo Hyuk shows off his luxurious accommodations in China

Jang Woo Hyuk recently showed off his luxurious accommodations in China through a video uploaded on his me2day.

On August 24th, he jokingly posted on his me2day “I’m going to show the frugal housing in China that I’m staying at. Everyone lives like this, even though it’s small, there’s a swimming pool. Even though it’s tiring to walk on the 2nd floor, I’m being patient“.

Jang Woo Hyuk’s video showed off the inside and outside of his luxurious accommodations.

In the video, while coming down to the 1st floor, Jang Woo Hyuk joked around, saying “Doesn’t everyone live like this? I’m living frugally. All houses have 2 floors. The people who live well have a 3rd and 4th floor“.

He also showed his swimming pool in his yard and stated, “Only a swimming pool.”

He also wrote on his me2day, “China housing, everyone lives like this, I’m the coolest, please forgive me one more time for joking… Jang Woo Hyuk genius, Jang Woo Hyuk without a girlfriend, please contact me“.

Netizens replied with “I didn’t know Jang Woo Hyuk joked around like this“, “It’s hilarious that you live like this“, and “It seems your popularity in China is really big“.

Jang Woo Hyuk was also recently in the news for sharing pictures while riding in a luxurious private jet. He’s currently in China as part of his Asia Tour which lasts until August 26th, afterwards he will return home and leave the luxuries in China.
