In early 2010, she told local magazine that she would plan to get married to her fiancé in 2010, who was not identified in public yet, after having her villa already built. But at this time, she told The Moon Magazine that she delays her planned marriage and specific date is not set yet. She also confirmed that she is busy with her current job, especially TV personality and fashion model for Cambodia Super Model. And it is a good opportunity for her to make money.

She also said that if she makes decision to marry, she will end her career completely. After getting married, she will plan to have a baby because she is getting old. Now, she is reaching 28 years old.

It is noticed that besides of working in art, she is an owner of fashion shop, which has two brands in Phnom Penh.

Until now, she does not introduce her fiancé to public yet but she used to hint that her fiancé is serving as civil servant in the government.

Doung Zorida was quoted by Popular Magazine as saying that “opening the second shop is to make clients easier and in the future, if I have enough possibility, I will open two or three more branches.”

She spent nearly $10,000 for her second branch. Those money is coming from her mother’s money and her own cash.

By the way, she is regarded as an actress who is smart at doing business because she has good communication.

For acting career, Doung Zorida said that she postponed her performing but still works as TV presenter because she is busy with her business.

She said that “I am thinking about business-doing and I do not think that I am a well-known actress because I want to become a successful businesswoman and model designer.”

In addition, she also contributes the social works; especially work relating to HIV/AIDS.

It is reported that she is dropping her boyfriend, who is working in government institution, and having relationship with other man. Rhetoric war between Doung Zorida and Magazine’s publisher will be able to become a problem of legal complaint filed if it is not solved peacefully.

Zorida was quoted by Sabay as saying that “because I suggested that he corrected the article but he did not, so I made decision to raise this story to be said in program over the last weekend because I and my lover learnt that it is exaggerated story. And then magazine’s publisher called me, manager of TV 5 and my other workplaces in order to fire me.”

She also said that one local newspaper echoed and attacked her strongly, published on 25 May by saying that she is a TV presenter without professional and dares to break the law.

So far, it is not solved yet. Therefore, audiences wait and see whether what will happen between TV presenter and magazine.

According to Sabay, she confesses that her boyfriend is over 30 years old and working within the government ministry, but not businessman. More than one year, she has tried to hide her boyfriend’s identity.

She was quoted by Sabsay as saying that “I ensure that my boyfriend does not like doing business because presently he is working with Ministry and also likes government’s work. In the past, local media reported that my boyfriend is a businessman or doing other business. It is not true.”

Karaoke performer and TV presenter, Doung Zorida will lead Khmer stars and modelers to perform at Asian Model in Thailand on August 12 for three-day performances, including taking Khmer dresses designed by 6 dress tailor shops in order to be on international exhibition.

She told the local media that there are 6 Khmer stars and modelers who will join model event in Bang Kok, Thailand. In addition, 6 representatives from 6 dress tailor shops also accompany with them in order to bring Khmer traditional and modern clothes designed by Khmer tailors to display on exhibition.

Her group will join the exhibition during three days from 13 to 15 August, 2009, and then she will come back.

Doung Zorida, film star and TV presenter, told the local-Khmer newspapers in an interview that bad year disappeared and the year of 2009 brings her good fortune after patriarch prayed her with scared water and wished her good luck. She added that the monk chief also tied white fortunate string to her wrist and gave her with corn and soybean that he brought from Royal Plowing Festival.

It mentioned that in the late 2008, Zorida had two bad incidents happening to her. Firstly, she was wounded by motorcycle accident and she took few days to be treated. And secondly, unmanned person displayed photo of her at some VIA club in Phnom Penh with price of between US$4,000 and US$8,000. Now, the ministry of interior has opened investigation into Phnom Penh karaoke parlors that used the photos of film stars to advertise to escort services and attract patrons.

She added that after water-spaying, she feels clear and happy. And her career is running smoothly with any obstacles.
